Plans Underway to Open Bank’s Eighth Texas Location
       
Sonora, TX (Nov. 3, 2021) – Sonora Bank is pleased to announce it has expanded its Hill Country footprint and opened the doors on a new Loan Production Office (LPO) in New Braunfels with plans currently underway to build the bank’s eighth branch location in 2022.

It’s exciting to cross over Interstate 35, expanding our footprint to new customers and opportunities in the Hill Country toward East Texas,” said Bob Malone, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sonora Bank. “The new location accelerates our expansion strategy and allows us to bring our unique brand of banking to a growing and dynamic market in New Braunfels. Our experienced lending team is in a strong position to provide the New Braunfels community with the personalized customer service, quality financial services and community support that we are known for today in West Texas and the Hill Country.”

The New Braunfels LPO and future branch location will be led by Senior Vice President Neal Brodbeck, whose experience in banking spans more than 35 years. Brodbeck was born and raised in Seguin, Texas, and he began his banking career in 1985 in mortgage lending and retail banking. Brodbeck has worked in the Bulverde/Spring Branch area since 2005. Most recently he served as the Senior Vice President and Branch Manager for Sonora Bank’s Bulverde location, a branch he helped Sonora Bank open in 2017.

Joining the New Braunfels LPO is Rob Smith, Vice President and Loan Officer. Smith joined Sonora Bank in July 2021 bringing with him 20 years of sales, business and lending experience, with a focus on commercial and small business. Most recently, Smith served as the Vice President and Loan Officer for First Commercial Bank in New Braunfels. He is a New Braunfels native and a graduate of Baylor University—Hankamer School of Business.

She is a leader with a progressive and proven history, and I am confident she will continue to successfully lead the Bulverde team into the future.”
