Sonora Bank Appoints David Brock to Board of Directors
Sonora, TX (May 18, 2026)—Sonora Bank announced today the appointment of David Brock of Boerne, Texas to its Board of Directors for Sonora Bank and First Sonora Bancshares.

Brock is an attorney with Brock Upham Yost & Strieber, PLLC, where he advises clients in commercial real estate, farm and ranch transactions, oil and gas matters, and business and corporate law. He has built a respected legal career representing individuals, businesses and landowners throughout Texas.
He earned his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University. Brock is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both Commercial Real Estate Law and Farm & Ranch Real Estate Law, distinctions earned by only a select number of attorneys statewide.
In addition, Brock has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer from 2024 through 2026, an honor awarded to outstanding attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
A longtime resident of the Texas Hill Country, Brock enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family near Edna, Texas. He and his wife, Cathryn, have three children, two grandchildren and attend Mission City Church.
